Mentor

Any mentor is expected to perform well at:
- Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Convincing others to accept and idea or to otherwise change their minds or actions in accordance to the companies objectives.
- Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:
- Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
- Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.
Other work activities related to Security management specialists
- Preparing documentation for case reports or court proceedings.
- Reviewing design drawings or technical documents for completeness, correctness, or appropriateness.
- Monitoring tapes or digital recordings for identifying the source of losses.
- Interviewing witnesses or suspects for identifying persons responsible for security breaches or to establishing losses, pursue prosecutions, or obtaining restitution.
- Budgeting and scheduling security design working.
- Training personnel in security procedures or using of security equipment.
- Preparing, maintaining, or updating security procedures, security system drawings, or related documentation.
- Monitoring the working of contractors in the design, construction, and startup phases of security systems.
- Inspecting security design features, installations, or programs for ensuring compliance with applicable standards or regulations.
- Inspecting fire, intruder detection, or other security systems.
