Administrator

Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

  • Scheduling or dispatching workers, working crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.
  • Arranging for necessary repairs to restoring service and schedules.
  • Relaying working orders, messages, or information to or from working crews, supervisors, or field inspectors, using telephones or two way radios.
  • Conferring with customers or supervising personnel for addressing questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment.
  • Preparing daily works and running the schedules.
  • Receiving or preparing working orders.
  • Overseeing all communications within specifically assigned territories.
  • Monitoring personnel or equipment locations and their utilization for coordinating services and schedules.
