Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Mediator

Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Other work activities related to Public relations and fundraising managers

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, government officials, and media representatives and using these relationships for developing new business opportunities.
  • Identifying main client groups and audiences, determining the best way for communicating publicity information to them, and developing and implementing communication plans.
  • Designing and editing promotional publications, such as brochures.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining crisis communication plans.
  • Writing interesting and effective press releases, preparing information for media kits, and developing and maintaining the company’s internet or intranet web pages.
  • Developing and maintaining the company’s corporate image and identity, which includes the usage of logos and signages.
  • Managing communications budgets.
  • Managing special events, such as sponsorship of races, parties introducing new products, or other activities that the firm supports, for gaining public attention through the media without advertising directly.
  • Assigning, supervising, and reviewing the activities of public relations staff.
