Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Inspector

Archetype 6 Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Other work activities related to Counter attendants, cafeteria, food concession, and coffee shop

  • Cooking food or preparing food items, such as sandwiches, salads, and ice cream dishes, using standard formulas or following directions.
  • Performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes, for keeping equipment and facilities sanitary.
  • Scrubbing and polishing counters, steaming tables, and other equipment, and cleaning glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
  • Serving food, beverages, or desserts to customers in such settings as takeout counters of restaurants or lunchrooms, business or industrial establishments, hotel rooms, and cars.
  • Replenishing foods at serving stations.
  • Taking customers’ orders and writing ordered items on tickets, giving ticket stubs to customers when needed for identifying filled orders.
  • Wrapping menu item such as sandwiches, hot entrees, and desserts for serving or for takeout.
  • Preparing bills for food, using cash registers, calculators, or adding machines, and accepting payment or making changes.
  • Delivering orders to kitchens, and picking up and serving food when it is ready.
