Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:
- Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Mentor

Any mentor is expected to perform well at:
- Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Convincing others to accept and idea or to otherwise change their minds or actions in accordance to the companies objectives.
- Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
Other work activities related to Counter and rental clerks
- Computing charges for merchandise or services and receiving payments.
- Preparing merchandise for display or for purchasing or rental.
- Recommending and providing advices on a wide variety of products and services.
- Answering telephones for providing information and receiving orders.
- Greeting customers and discussing the types, quality, and quantity of merchandise sought for rental.
- Keeping records of transactions and of the number of customers entering an establishment.
- Preparing rental forms, obtaining customer signature and other information, such as required licenses.
- Receiving, examining, and tagging articles to be altered, cleaned, stored, or repaired.
- Inspecting and adjusting rental items to meet needs of customer.
- Explaining rental fees, policies, and procedures.
- Reserving items for requested times and keep records of items rented.
- Receiving orders for services, such as rentals, repairs, dry cleaning, and storage.
- Renting items, arranging for provision of services to customers, and accepting returns.
