Archetype 5 Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:

  • Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
  • Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.

Mentor

Archetype 2 Mentor

Any mentor is expected to perform well at:

  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Convincing others to accept and idea or to otherwise change their minds or actions in accordance to the companies objectives.
  • Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.

Other work activities related to Photographers

  • Transferring photographs to computers for editing, archiving, and electronic transmission.
  • Writing captions for photographs.
  • Taking pictures of individuals, families, and small groups, either in studio or on location.
  • Adjusting apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus according to a combination of factors, such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film types, and film speeds.
  • Using traditional or digital cameras, along with a variety of equipment, such as tripods, filters, and flash attachments.
  • Creating artificial light, using flashes and reflectors.
  • Determining desired images and picture composition, selecting and adjusting subjects, equipment, and lighting for achieving desired effects.
  • Testing equipment prior to using for ensuring that it is in good working order.
  • Reviewing sets of photographs for selecting the best working.
  • Estimating or measuring light levels, distances, and numbers of exposures needed, using measuring devices and formulas.
