Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:
- Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:
- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
- Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
- Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.
Other work activities related to Hosts and hostesses, restaurant, lounge, and coffee shop
- Assigning patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers are attending an appropriate number of clients.
- Speaking with patrons for ensuring satisfaction with food and service, for responding to complaints, or for making conversation.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to inquiries or transferring calls.
- Inspecting dining and serving areas for ensuring cleanliness and proper setup.
- Inspecting restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and cleaning restrooms when necessary.
- Taking and preparing to go orders.
- Assisting other restaurant workers by serving food and beverages, or by bussing tables.
- Providing guests with menus.
- Greeting guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
- Receiving and recording patrons’ dining reservations.
- Maintaining communication with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers for ensuring that dining details are handled properly and customers’ concerns are addressed.
- Informing patrons of establishment specialties and features.
