Mentor

Any mentor is expected to perform well at:
- Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Convincing others to accept and idea or to otherwise change their minds or actions in accordance to the companies objectives.
- Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
Other work activities related to General and operations managers
- Implementing or overseeing environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management.
- Reviewing financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data for measuring productivity or goal achievement, or for identifying areas needing cost reduction or programs improvement.
- Directing administrative activities directly related to making products or providing services.
- Preparing staff working schedules and assigning specific duties.
- Monitoring suppliers for ensuring that they are providing the needed goods or services efficiently, effectively and within budgetary limits.
- Directing or coordinating financial or budgetary activities for funding operations, maximizing investments, or increasing efficiency.
- Establishing or implementing departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with board members, organization officials, or staff members.
