Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:
- Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
Other work activities related to Educational, guidance, school, and vocational counselors
- Conferring with parents or guardians, teachers, administrators, and other professionals for discussing children’s progress, resolving behavioral, academic, and other problems, and for determining priorities for students and their resource needs.
- Evaluating students’ or individuals’ abilities, interests, and personality characteristics, using tests, records, interviews, or professional sources.
- Identifying cases of domestic abuse or other family problems and encouraging students or parents for seeking additional assistance from mental health professionals.
- Counseling students regarding educational issues, such as selecting courses and programs, class scheduling and registration, school adjustment, truancy, studying habits, and career planning.
- Collaborating with teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs and in the preparation of master schedules for curriculum offerings.
- Attending meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serving on committees.
