Mentor

Any mentor is expected to perform well at:
- Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Convincing others to accept and idea or to otherwise change their minds or actions in accordance to the companies objectives.
- Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.

- Planning and leading professional development activities for teachers, administrators, and the supporting staff.
- Participating in special education related activities, such as attending meetings and providing assistance to special educators throughout the district.
- Meeting with federal, state, and local agencies for keeping updated on policies and for discussing improvements for education programs.
- Planning, coordinating, and overseeing school logistics programs, such as bus and food services.
- Coordinating and directing extracurricular activities and programs, such as after school events and athletic contests.
- Mentoring and supporting administrative staff members, such as superintendents and principals.
- Creating school improvement plans by using student performance data.
- Reviewing and approving new programs, or recommending modifications to existing programs, submitting proposals of programs for school board approval as necessary.
