Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Technician

Archetype 11 Technician

Technicians will often be asked these tasks:

  • Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.

Other work activities related to Personal care aides

  • Performing healthcare related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication, under the direction of registered nurses or physiotherapists.
  • Administering bedside or personal caring, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance.
  • Preparing and maintaining records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client conditions to manager or supervisor.
  • Performing housekeeping duties, such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands.
  • Caring for individuals or families during periods of incapacitation, family disruption, or convalescence, providing companionship, personal caring, or helping in adjusting to new lifestyles.
  • Instructing or advising clients on issues such as household cleanliness, utilities, hygiene, nutrition, or infant caring.
  • Planning, shopping for, or preparing nutritious meals or assisting families in planning, shopping for, or preparing nutritious meals.
  • Participating in case reviews, consulting with the team caring for the client, for evaluating the client’s needs and planning their continuing services.
