Innovators will usually have four main goals:

  • Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
  • Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.

Artisan

Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Other work activities related to Weavers and stitchers

  • Sewing, joining, reinforce, or finishing parts of articles, such as garments, books, mattresses, toys, and wigs, using needles and threads or other materials.
  • Trimming excess threads or edges of parts, using scissors or knives.
  • Selecting threads, twines, cords, or yarns to be used, and threading needles.
  • Drawing and cutting patterns according to specifications.
  • Folding, twisting, stretching, or draping material, and securing articles in preparation for sewing.
  • Measuring and aligning parts, fasteners, or trimmings, following seams, edges, or markings on parts.
  • Using different sewing techniques such as felling, tacking, basting, embroidery, and fagoting.
  • Sewing buttonholes, or adding lace or other trimming.
  • Tying, knitting, weaving or knotting ribbons, yarns, or decorative materials.
  • Softening leather or shoe material with water to preparing it for sewing.
  • Attaching trimmings and labels to articles with cement, using brushes or cement guns.
