Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

  • Receiving and counting stocks items, and recording data manually or using computer.
  • Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Verifying inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stocks, and investigating discrepancies or adjusting errors.
  • Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supplying rooms, or other areas.
  • Marking stocks items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas for ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determining proper storage methods, identification, and stocks location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keeping records on the usage or damages to stocks or its handling equipment.
  • Examining and inspecting stocks items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
