Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
Other work activities related to Set and exhibit designers
- Examining objects to be included in exhibits for planning where and how to display them.
- Acquiring, or arranging for acquisition of, specimens or graphics required for completing exhibits.
- Preparing rough drafts and scaled drawings of the sets, including floor plans, scenery, and properties to be constructed.
- Conferring with clients and staff for gathering information about exhibit space, proposed themes and content, timelines, budgets, materials, and/or promotion requirements.
- Estimating setting or exhibit related costs including materials, construction, and rental of props or locations.
- Developing setting designs based on evaluation of scripts, budgets, researching information, and available locations.
- Directing and coordinating construction, erection, or decoration activities for ensuring that sets or exhibits meet design, budget, and scheduling requirements.
- Inspecting installed exhibits for conformance to specifications, and satisfactory operation of special effects components.
