Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Mentor

Archetype 2 Mentor

Any mentor is expected to perform well at:

  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
  • Convincing others to accept and idea or to otherwise change their minds or actions in accordance to the companies objectives.
  • Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.

Other work activities related to Real estate sales agents

  • Presenting purchasing offers to sellers for consideration.
  • Interviewing clients for determining what kinds of properties they are seeking.
  • Preparing documents such as representation contracts, purchasing agreements, closing statements, deeds, and leases.
  • Acting as an intermediary in negotiations between buyers and sellers, generally representing one or the other.
  • Promoting sales of properties through advertisements, open houses, and participation in multiple listing services.
  • Comparing a property with similar properties that have recently sold for determining its competitive market prices.
  • Coordinating appointments for showing homes to prospective buyers.
  • Generating lists of properties that are compatible with buyers’ needs and financial resources.
  • Displaying commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential properties to clients and explaining their features.
  • Arranging for title searches for determining whether clients have legal property titles.
  • Reviewing plans for new construction with clients, enumerating and recommending available options and features.
