Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:
- Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Other work activities related to Quality control analysts
- Training other analysts to performing laboratory procedures and assays.
- Performing visual inspections of finished products.
- Serving as a technical liaison between quality controlling and other departments, vendors, or contractors.
- Identifying and troubleshooting equipment problems.
- Evaluating new technologies and methods for making recommendations regarding their using.
- Ensuring that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Writing technical reports or documentation, such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses.
- Writing or revising standard quality controlling operating procedures.
- Supplying quality controlling data necessary for regulatory submissions.
- Receiving and inspecting raw materials.
- Preparing or reviewing the required methods for transferring documentation including technical protocols or reports.
- Monitoring testing procedures for ensuring that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard testing methods, or protocols.
