Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Mediator

Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Other work activities related to Physical therapist aides

  • Scheduling patient appointments with physical therapists and coordinating therapists’ schedules.
  • Cleaning and organizing working area and disinfecting equipment after treatment.
  • Observing patients during treatment to compiling and evaluating data on patients’ responses and progress and reporting to physical therapist.
  • Instructing, motivating, safeguarding, or assisting patients practicing exercises or functional activities, under direction of medical staff.
  • Securing patients into or onto therapy equipment.
  • Transporting patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing assistances for standing.
  • Conferring with physical therapy staff or others for discussing and evaluating patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.
  • Recording treatment given and equipment used.
  • Performing clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone, taking messages, or filling out forms.
  • Maintaining equipment or furniture for keeping it in good working conditions, including performing the assembly or disassembly of equipment or accessories.
