Innovators will usually have four main goals:
- Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
- Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.
Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:
- Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Other work activities related to Natural sciences managers
- Conferring with scientists, engineers, regulators, or others for planning or reviewing projects or for providing technical assistance.
- Developing client relationships and communicating with clients for explaining proposals, presenting researching findings, establishing specifications, or discussing project status.
- Planning or directing researching, development, or production activities.
- Preparing project proposals.
- Designing or coordinating successive phases of problem analysis, solution proposals, or testing.
- Reviewing project activities and preparing and reviewing researching, testing, or operational reports.
- Hiring, supervising, or evaluating engineers, technicians, researchers, or other staff.
- Determining scientific or technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management and making detailed plans to accomplish these goals.
- Developing or implementing policies, standards, or procedures for the architectural, scientific, or technical working performed for ensuring regulatory compliance or operations enhancement.
