Mediators should be capable of:
- Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
- Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.

- Shop for groceries, clothing, and other items needed for children’s caring.
- Performing first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when required.
- Regulating children’s rest periods and nap schedules.
- Meeting regularly with parents for discussing children’s activities and development.
- Helping preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children.
- Instructing children in safe behavior, such as seeking adult assistance when crossing the street and avoiding contacting or playing with unsafe objects.
- Organizing and conducting age appropriate recreational activities, such as games, arts and crafts, sports, walks, and playing dates.
- Observing children’s behavior for irregularities, taking temperature, transporting children to doctor, or administering medications, as directed, for maintaining children’s health.
- Modeling appropriate social behaviors and encouraging concern for others for cultivating development of interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
