Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Industrial truck and tractor operators

  • Inspecting product loading for accuracy and safely moving it around the warehouse or facility for ensuring timely and thorough delivery.
  • Manually or mechanically loading or unloading materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transporting vehicles.
  • Moving controls for driving gasoline or electric powered trucks, cars, or tractors and transporting materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Moving levers or controls for operating lifting devices, such as forklifts, lifting beams with swivel hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, for loading, unloading, transporting, or stacking material.
  • Positioning lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and securing materials or products for transporting them to designated areas.
  • Performing routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied gas tank.
  • Weighing materials or products and recording weight or other production data on tags or labels.
