- Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

- Recording numbers of containers stored at disposal sites, specifying amounts or types of equipment or waste disposed.
- Driving trucks or other heavy equipment to convey contaminated waste to designated sea or ground locations.
- Operating machines or equipment for removing, packaging, storing, or transporting loads of waste materials.
- Loading or unloading materials into containers or onto trucks, using hoists or forklifts.
- Cleaning contaminated equipment or areas for re using, using detergents or solvents, sandblasters, filter pumps, or steam cleaners.
- Removing asbestos or lead from surfaces, using hand or power tools such as scrapers, vacuums, or high pressure sprayers.
- Uploading baskets of irradiated elements onto the machines inserting fuel elements into canisters and securing lids.
- Identifying asbestos, lead, or other hazardous materials to be removed, using monitoring devices.
