Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Fishers and related fishing workers

  • Steering vessels and operating navigational instruments.
  • Putting fishing equipment into the water and anchoring or towing equipment, according to the fishing method used.
  • Maintaining engines, fishing gear, and other on board equipment and performing minor repairs.
  • Sorting, packing, and storing catch in holds with salt and ice.
  • Removing catches from fishing equipment and measuring them for ensuring compliance with legal size.
  • Locating fish, using fish finding equipment.
  • Returning undesirable or illegal catches to the water.
  • Pulling and guiding nets, traps, and lines onto vessels, by hand or using hoisting equipment.
  • Directing fishing operations, and supervising fishing crew members.
  • Signaling other workers for moving, hoist, and positioning loads.
  • Computing positions and plot courses on charts to navigate vessels, using instruments such as compasses, sextants, and charts.
  • Overseeing the purchasing of supplies, gear, and equipment such as fuel, netting, and cables.
