Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

  • Preparing for and responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Verifying regulatory compliance of transaction reporting.
  • Hiring or evaluating staff.
  • Directing activities of accounting or operations departments.
  • Developing, implementing, or monitoring security valuation policies.
  • Attending investment briefings or consulting financial media to stay abreast of relevant investment markets.
  • Reviewing offering documents or marketing materials for ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Performing or evaluating researching, such as detailed company or industry analyses, for informing financial forecasting, decision making, or valuation.
  • Presenting investment information, such as product risks, fees, or fund performance statistics.
