Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
- Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
Supervisor

Any supervisor should excel at:
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment.
- Detecting or assessing problems whether real or potential.
- Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
Other work activities related to Dental assistants
- Ordering and monitoring dental supplies and equipment inventory.
- Fabricating and fitting orthodontic appliances and materials for patients, such as retainers, wires, or bands.
- Preparing patient, sterilizing or disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, or assisting dentist during dental procedures.
- Exposing dental diagnostic x rays.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Taking and recording medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
- Providing postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
- Assisting dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.
- Pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
- Instructing patients in oral hygiene and plaque controlling programs.
- Making preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
- Cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Cleaning teeth, using dental instruments.
- Applying protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
- Fabricating temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
