Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Innovator

Archetype 5 Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:

  • Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
  • Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.

Other work activities related to Costume attendants

  • Distributing costumes or related equipment and keep records of item status.
  • Arranging costumes in order of usage for facilitating quickly changing procedures during performances.
  • Returning borrowed or rented items when productions are completed and returning other items to storage.
  • Cleaning and press costumes before and after performances and performing any minor repairs.
  • Assigning lockers to employees and maintaining locker rooms, dressing rooms, wig rooms, or costume storage or laundry areas.
  • Designing or constructing costumes or sending them to tailors for construction, major repairs, or alterations.
  • Purchasing, renting, or requisitioning costumes or other wardrobe necessities.
  • Inventory stocks for determining types or conditions of available costuming.
  • Collaborating with production designers, costume designers, or other production staff for discussing and executing costume design details.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, or securing inventories of costumes, wigs, or makeup, providing keys or access to assigned directors, costume designers, or wardrobe mistresses/masters.
