Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Administrator

Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Other work activities related to Bailiffs

  • Screening persons entering courthouse using magnetometers, x ray machines, and other devices to collecting and retain unauthorized firearms and other contraband.
  • Providing security by patrolling interior and exterior of courthouse and escorting judges and other court employees.
  • Checking courtroom for security and cleanliness and assuring availability of sundry supplies, such as notepads, for using by judges, jurors, and attorneys.
  • Screening, controlling, and handling evidence and exhibits during court proceedings.
  • Escorting prisoners to and from courthouse and maintaining custody of prisoners during court proceedings.
  • Maintaining court docket.
  • Maintaining order in courtroom during trial and guarding the jury from outside contacts.
  • Guarding lodging of sequestered jury.
  • Providing jury escorts to restaurant and other areas outside of courtroom for preventing the jury from contacting the public.
  • Enforcing courtroom rules of behavior and warning persons not to smoke or disturb court procedure.
  • Reporting needs for police or medical assistance to sheriff’s office.
