Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
Other work activities related to Art directors
- Researching current trends and new technology, such as printing production techniques, computer software, and design trends.
- Formulating the basic layout or the presentations’ approaches and specifying the material details, such as styles and font sizes, photographs, graphics, animations, videos, and sounds.
- Reviewing and approving art materials, copy materials, and proofs of printed copy developed by staff members.
- Managing own accounts and projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements.
- Conferring with creative, art, copywriting, or production department heads for discussing client requirements and presentation concepts and for coordinating creative activities.
- Presenting final layouts to clients for approval.
- Conferring with clients for determining objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques.
- Hiring, training, and directing staff members who are developing design concepts into art layouts or who are preparing layouts for printing.
