Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:
- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
- Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
- Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.
Supervisor

Any supervisor should excel at:
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment.
- Detecting or assessing problems whether real or potential.
- Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
Other work activities related to Airline pilots, copilots, and flight engineers
- Using instrumentation for guiding flights when visibility is poor.
- Responding to and reporting in flight emergencies and malfunctions.
- Working as part of a flight team with other crew members, especially during takeoffs and landings.
- Contacting controlling towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions, and other information, using radio equipment.
- Steering aircraft along planned routes, using autopilot and flight management computers.
- Monitoring gauges, warning devices, and controlling panels for verifying aircraft performance and to regulating engine speed.
- Starting engines, operating controls, and pilot airplanes for transporting passengers, mail, or freight, adhering to flight plans, regulations, and procedures.
- Inspecting aircraft for defects and malfunctions, according to pre flight checklists.
- Checking passenger and cargo distributions and fuel amounts for ensuring that weight and balance specifications are met.
- Monitoring engine operation, fuel consumption, and functioning of aircraft systems during flights.
