Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Administrator

Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Other work activities related to Parking lot attendants

  • Performing cash handling tasks, such as making changes, balancing and recording cash drawer, or distributing tips.
  • Explaining and calculating parking charges, collecting fees from customers, and responding to customer complaints.
  • Providing customer assistance and information, such as giving directions or handling wheelchairs.
  • Calling emergency responders or the proper authorities and providing motorist assistance, such as giving directions or helping jump starting a stalled vehicle.
  • Performing personnel activities, such as supervising or scheduling employees.
  • Taking numbered tags from customers, locating vehicles, and delivering vehicles, or providing customers with instructions for locating vehicles.
  • Keeping parking areas cleaning and orderly for ensuring that space usage is maximized.
  • Directing motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary.
  • Patrolling parking areas for preventing vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts.
  • Parking and retrieving automobiles for customers in parking lots, storage garages, or new car lots.
