Controllers are expected to be good at:

• Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
• Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
• Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
• Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Great artisans are usually capable of:

• Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
• Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
• Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

• Operating landfill gas, methane, or natural gas fueled electrical generation systems.
• Performing routine maintenance or minor repairs to landfill gas collection and power generation systems, including equipment such as pneumatic pumps, blower or flare systems, and condensate management systems.
• Balancing individual gas extraction wells at landfill gas facilities.
• Diagnosing or troubleshooting problems with methane or landfill gas collection systems.
• Downloading landfill gas well field monitoring data.
• Measuring landfill gas vegetative covering, installing additional covering as required.
• Measuring liquid levels in landfill gas extraction wells.
• Monitoring landfill well fields periodically for ensuring proper functioning and performance.
• Preparing and submitting compliance, operational, and safety forms or reports.
• Reading, interpreting, and adjusting monitoring equipment, such as flow meters and pressure or vacuum gauges.
• Recording and maintaining logs of well head gauge pressure readings.
• Monitoring landfill gas perimeter probes for identifying landfill gas migration.
