Archetype 11 Technician

Technicians will often be asked these tasks:

  • Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.

Analyzer

Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Other work activities related to Securities and commodities traders

  • Agreeing on buying or selling prices at optimal levels for clients.
  • Buying or selling stocks, bonds, commodity futures, foreign currencies, or other securities on behalf of investment dealers.
  • Making bids or offers for buying or selling securities.
  • Analyzing target companies or investment opportunities for informing investment decisions.
  • Developing or maintaining supplier or customer relationships.
  • Devising trading, option, or hedge strategies.
  • Identifying opportunities or developing channels for purchasing or sale of securities or commodities.
  • Informing other traders, managers, or customers of market conditions, including volume, prices, competition, or dynamics.
  • Monitoring markets or positions.
  • Processing paperwork for special orders, including margin or option purchases.
  • Receiving sales order tickets and inspecting forms for determining accuracy of information.
  • Reporting all positions or trading results.
  • Reviewing securities transactions for ensuring conformance to regulations.
