Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Landscaping and groundskeeping workers

  • Operating vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
  • Mowing or edging lawns, using power mowers or edgers.
  • Shoveling snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spreading salt in those areas.
  • Caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
  • Using hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
  • Pruning or trimming trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
  • Gathering and removing litter.
  • Maintaining or repairing tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
  • Mixing and spraying or spreading fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
