Archetype 6 Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Mediator

Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Other work activities related to Dining room and cafeteria attendants and bartender helpers

  • Wiping tables or seats with dampened cloths or replacing dirty tablecloths.
  • Setting tables with cleaning linens, condiments, or other supplies.
  • Scraping and stacking dirty dishes and carrying dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
  • Cleaning up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and removing empty bottles and trash.
  • Maintaining adequate supplies of items, such as cleaning linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays.
  • Serving ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to patrons.
  • Filling beverage or ice dispensers.
  • Stocking cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refilling condiment containers.
  • Locating items requested by customers.
  • Carrying food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or from the supplies departments to the serving counters.
  • Serving food to customers when waiters or waitresses need assistance.
  • Cleaning and polishing counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of restaurants and mopping or vacuuming floors.
