Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Analyzer

Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Other work activities related to Cooks, short order

  • Restocking kitchen supplies, rotating food, and stamping the time and date on food in coolers.
  • Performing food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, carving meats, making soups or salads, baking breads or desserts, and brewing coffee or tea.
  • Performing general cleaning activities in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Cleaning food preparation equipment, working areas, and counters or tables.
  • Planning working on orders so that items served together are finished at the same time.
  • Grilling, cooking, and frying foods such as french fries, eggs, and pancakes.
  • Taking orders from customers and cooking foods requiring short preparation times, according to customer requirements.
  • Grilling and garnish hamburgers or other meats, such as steaks and chops.
  • Completing orders from steam tables, placing food on plates and serving customers at tables or counters.
  • Ordering supplies and stocking them on shelves.
  • Accepting payments, and making changes or writing charging slips as necessary.
