Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Innovator

Archetype 5 Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:

  • Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
  • Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.

Other work activities related to Nurse practitioners

  • Educating patients about self management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients’ individual circumstances.
  • Scheduling following up visits for monitoring patients or evaluating health or illness caring.
  • Counseling patients about drug regimens and possible side effects or interactions with other substances, such as food supplements, over the counter (OTC) medications, or herbal remedies.
  • Ordering, performing, or interpreting the results of diagnostic tests, such as completing blood counts (cbcs), electrocardiograms (ekgs), and radiographs (x rays).
  • Analyzing and interpreting patients’ histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information for developing appropriate diagnoses.
  • Diagnosing or treating acute health caring problems, such as illnesses, infections, or injuries.
  • Diagnosing or treating chronic health caring problems, such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
  • Diagnosing or treating complex, unstable, comorbid, episodic, or emergency conditions in collaboration with other health caring providers as necessary.
