Technician

Technicians will often be asked these tasks:
- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
Other work activities related to Dermatologists
- Referring patients to other specialists, as needed.
- Recording patients’ health histories.
- Providing dermatologic consultation to other health professionals.
- Providing liposuction treatment to patients.
- Reading current literature, talk with colleagues, and participating in professional organizations or conferences for keeping abreast of developments in dermatology.
- Instructing interns or residents in diagnosis and treatment of dermatological diseases.
- Evaluating patients for determining eligibility for cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, laser resurfacing, or microdermabrasion.
- Conducting or order diagnostic tests such as chest radiographs (x rays), microbiologic tests, or endocrinologic tests.
- Recommending diagnostic tests based on patients’ histories and physical examination findings.
- Conducting clinical or basic researching.
- Providing therapies such as intralesional steroids, chemical peels, or comodo removal for treating age spots, sun damage, rough skin, discolored skin, or oily skin.
