Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Administrator

Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Other work activities related to Teacher assistants

  • Teaching social skills to students.
  • Cleaning classrooms.
  • Providing extra assistance to students with special needs.
  • Tutor and assisting children individually or in small groups for helping them in master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
  • Supervising students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips.
  • Enforcing administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Observing students’ performance, and recording relevant data for assessing progress.
  • Discussing assigned duties with classroom teachers for coordinating instructional efforts.
  • Instructing and monitoring students in the using and caring of equipment and materials for preventing injuries and damage.
  • Presenting subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, discussions, or supervised role playing methods.
  • Organizing and labelling materials and display students’ working in a manner appropriate for their eye levels and perceptual skills.
