Technician

Technicians will often be asked these tasks:
- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
Analyzer

Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:
- Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
- Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
Other work activities related to Database administrators
- Developing standards and guidelines for guiding the using and acquisition of software and for protecting vulnerable information.
- Modifying existing databases and database management systems or directing programmers and analysts for making changes.
- Testing programs or databases, correcting errors, and making necessary modifications.
- Planning, coordinating and implementing security measures for safeguarding information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
- Approving, scheduling, planning, and supervising the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases.
- Training users and answering questions.
- Establishing and calculating optimum values for database parameters, using manuals and calculator.
- Specifying users and user access levels for each segment of database.
- Developing data model describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures and using pen, template or computer software.
