Great artisans are usually capable of:
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
- Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:
- Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Other work activities related to Transportation security screeners
- Checking passengers’ tickets for ensuring that they are valid, and for determining whether passengers have designations that require special handling, such as providing photo identification.
- Closing entry areas following security breaches or reopen areas after receiving notification that the airport is safe.
- Confiscating dangerous items and hazardous materials found in opened bags and turning them over to airlines for disposal.
- Contacting leads or supervisors for discussing objects of concern that are not on prohibited object lists.
- Contacting police directly in cases of urgent security issues, using phones or two way radios.
- Deciding whether baggage that triggers alarms should be searched or should be allowed to pass through.
- Informing other screeners when baggage should not be opened because it might contain explosives.
- Informing passengers of how to mail prohibited items to themselves, or confiscating these items.
- Inspecting carryon items, using x ray viewing equipment, for determining whether items contain objects that warrant further investigation.
