Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Administrator

Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Other work activities related to Supervisors of animal husbandry and animal care workers

  • Observing animals for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior, notifying veterinarians or managers as warranted.
  • Monitoring animal caring, maintenance, breeding, or packing and transferal activities for ensuring working is done correctly.
  • Training workers in animal caring procedures, maintenance duties, and safety precautions.
  • Treating animal illnesses or injuries, following experience or instructions of veterinarians.
  • Assigning tasks such as feeding and treatment of animals, and cleaning and maintenance of animal quarters.
  • Performing the same animal caring duties as subordinates.
  • Preparing reports concerning facility activities, employees’ time records, and animal treatment.
  • Conferring with managers for determining production requirements, conditions of equipment and supplies, and working schedules.
  • Studying feeding, weight, health, genetic, or milk production records for determining feeding formulas and rations and breeding schedules.
  • Directing and assisting workers in maintenance and repairing of facilities.
