Archetype 3 Analyzer

Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Inspector

Archetype 6 Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Other work activities related to Statistical assistants

  • Computing and analyzing data, using statistical formulas and computers or calculators.
  • Entering data into computers for using in analyses or reports.
  • Compiling statistics from source materials, such as production or sales records, quality controlling or testing records, time sheets, or survey sheets.
  • Compiling reports, charts, or graphs for describing and interpreting findings of analyses.
  • Checking source data for verifying completeness and accuracy.
  • Participating in the publication of data or information.
  • Filing data and related information and maintaining and updating databases.
  • Selecting statistical tests for analyzing data.
  • Organizing paperwork, such as survey forms or reports, for distribution or analysis.
  • Coding data prior to computer entry, using lists of codes.
  • Checking survey responses for errors, such as the using of pens instead of pencils, and setting aside response forms that cannot be used.
  • Interviewing people and tracking their responses.
  • Sending out surveys.
