Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Mediator

Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Other work activities related to Segmental pavers

  • Supplying and placing base materials, edge restraints, bedding sand and jointing sand.
  • Preparing base for installation by removing unstable or unsuitable materials, compacting and grading the soil, draining or stabilizing weak or saturated soils and taking measures for preventing water penetration and migration of bedding sand.
  • Sweeping sand from the surface prior to opening to traffic.
  • Setting pavers, aligning and spacing them correctly.
  • Sweeping sand into the joints and compacting pavement until the joints are full.
  • Compacting the bedding sands and pavers for finishing the paved area, using a plate compactor.
  • Designing paver installation layout pattern and creating markings for directional references of joints and stringlines.
  • Resurfacing an outside area with cobblestones, terracotta tiles, concrete or other materials.
  • Discussing the designs with the client.
  • Cutting paving stones to adequate sizes and for edges, using splitters and masonry saws.
