Analyzer

Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:
- Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
- Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:
- Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
- Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.
Other work activities related to Microbiologists
- Isolating and maintaining cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms in prescribed or developed media, controlling moisture, aeration, temperature, and nutrition.
- Monitoring and performing tests on water, food, and the environment for detecting harmful microorganisms or for obtaining information about sources of pollution, contamination, or infection.
- Developing new products and procedures for sterilization, food and pharmaceutical supplies preservation, or microbial contamination detection.
- Examining physiological, morphological, and cultural characteristics, using microscope, for identifying and classifying microorganisms in human, water, and food specimens.
- Providing laboratory services for health departments, for community environmental health programs, and for physicians needing information for diagnosis and treatment.
- Observing action of microorganisms upon living tissues of plants, higher animals, and other microorganisms, and on dead organic matter.
