Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Helpers (production workers)

  • Observing equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notifying operators of any malfunctions.
  • Lifting raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
  • Counting finished products for determining if product orders are completed.
  • Marking or tagging identification on parts.
  • Loading and unloading items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Helping production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning working areas and equipment.
  • Cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Recording information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
  • Separating products according to weight, grades, size, or composition of materials used for producing them.
  • Turning valves to regulating flow of liquids or air, to reverse machines, for starting pumps, or to regulating equipment.
  • Placing products in equipment or on working surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
