Great artisans are usually capable of:
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
- Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:
- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
- Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
- Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.
Other work activities related to Helpers (installation, maintenance, and repair workers)
- Adjusting, maintaining, and repairing tools, equipment, and machines, and assisting more skilled workers with similar tasks.
- Ordering new parts for maintaining inventory.
- Diagnosing electrical problems and installing and rewire electrical components.
- Designing, welding, and fabricating parts, using blueprints or other mechanical plans.
- Tending and observing equipment and machinery for verifying efficient and safe operation.
- Examining and testing machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects for ensuring proper functioning.
- Adjusting, connecting, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools.
- Installing or replacing machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand or power tools.
- Cleaning or lubricating vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, working areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
- Applying protective materials to equipment, components, and parts for preventing defects and corrosion.
