Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:
- Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Other work activities related to Geothermal technicians
- Identifying and correcting malfunctions of geothermal plants equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, or controls.
- Installing, maintaining, or repairing ground or water source coupled heating pumps for heating and cooling residential or commercial building air or water.
- Monitoring and adjusting operations of geothermal power plants equipment or systems.
- Adjusting power production systems to meet loading and distribution demands.
- Calculating heat loss and heat gain factors for residential properties for determining heating and cooling required by installed geothermal systems.
- Designing and laying out geothermal heating systems according to property characteristics, heating and cooling requirements, piping and equipment requirements, applicable regulations, or other factors.
- Determining the types of geothermal loop system most suitable to a specific property and its heating and cooling needs.
- Digging trenches for system piping to appropriate depths and laying piping in trenches.
