Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
Other work activities related to Dentists, general
- Using masks, gloves, and safety glasses for protecting patients and self from infectious diseases.
- Using dental air turbines, hand instruments, dental appliances, or surgical implements.
- Managing business aspects such as employing or supervising staff or handling paperwork or insurance claims.
- Administering anesthetics to limit the amount of pain experienced by patients during procedures.
- Examining teeth, gums, and related tissues, using dental instruments, x rays, or other diagnostic equipment, for evaluating dental health, diagnosing diseases or abnormalities, and planning appropriate treatments.
- Formulating plans of treatment for patient’s teeth and mouth tissue.
- Advising or instructing patients regarding preventive dental caring, the causes and treatment of dental problems, or oral health caring services.
- Designing, making, or fitting prosthodontic appliances, such as space maintainers, bridges, or dentures, or writing fabrication instructions or prescriptions for denturists or dental technicians.
