Technician

Technicians will often be asked these tasks:
- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:
- Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
- Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.
Other work activities related to Computer systems engineers/architects
- Communicating with staff or clients for understanding specific system requirements.
- Providing advices on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
- Documenting design specifications, installation instructions, and other system related information.
- Verifying stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
- Collaborating with engineers or software developers for selecting appropriate design solutions or ensuring the compatibility of system components.
- Evaluating current or emerging technologies for considering factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
- Providing technical guidance or assistance for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
- Identifying system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
- Providing customers or installation teams guidelines for implementing secured systems.
- Monitoring system operation for detecting potential problems.
