Technician

Technicians will often be asked these tasks:
- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
Innovator

Innovators will usually have four main goals:
- Developing or creating new applications, relationships, systems, or products.
- Providing creative ideas or artistic contributions.
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Benchmarking, experimenting and testing novel approaches to solving problems.
Other work activities related to Computer network architects
- Adjusting network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.
- Communicating with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff for determining customer needs.
- Communicating with system users for ensuring accounts are setting up properly or for diagnosing and solving operational problems.
- Coordinating installation of new equipment.
- Coordinating network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
- Coordinating network or design activities with designers of associated networks.
- Designing, building, or operating equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems.
- Designing, organizing, and delivering product awareness, skill transferring, or product education sessions for staff or suppliers.
- Determining specific network hardware or software requirements, such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.
- Developing and implementing solutions for network problems.
