Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:
- Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.

- Negotiating terms and conditions of reinsurance with other companies.
- Ascertaining premium rates required and cash reserves and liabilities necessary for ensuring payment of future benefits.
- Analyzing statistical information for estimating mortality, accident, sickness, disability, and retirement rates.
- Designing, reviewing and helping in administering insurance, annuity and pension plans, determining financial soundness and calculating premiums.
- Collaborating with programmers, underwriters, accounts, claims experts, and senior management for helpingcompanies in developing plans for new lines of business or improvements to existing business.
- Determining or helping in determining company policy, and explaining complex technical matters to company executives, government officials, shareholders, policyholders, or the public.
